Collabora (experimental evaluation)

Collabora Online is an open-source office suite that runs directly in your browser.
Based on LibreOffice, it uses the Open Document Format (ODF) — the open standard for text documents (.odt), spreadsheets (.ods), and presentations (.odp). In addition, it enables editing of RTF (Rich Text Format) files as well as legacy Microsoft Office files (.doc, .xls, .ppt).

Tip

CERNBox integrates Collabora as an alternative to MS Office, running it entirely within the CERN data centre.
This makes it an ideal option for working with sensitive data (see privacy considerations).
