CERNBox Web¶
Welcome to the documentation for CERNBox Web, your entry point to CERN’s cloud storage service. Here you will find explanations of the core features, from accessing your 1TB of personal storage to sharing files securely. All data stored in CERNBox benefits from the security, confidentiality, and reliability of the CERN Data Center.
Desktop Requirements¶
When using a desktop device like a PC, Notebook including Microsoft Surface, the following browsers are supported:

How to get an account?¶
The initial and mandatory step to using your CERNBox is to create it. Use any Web browser to go to https://cernbox.cern.ch and login via the CERN Single Sign-On page with your username and password.
How to access?¶
The service is available at the address cernbox.cern.ch.
For other access methods (e.g. desktop sync), please choose a different section in the menu above.
Accounts supported¶
Besides any type of CERN account, it's also possible to signin with other accounts, like social or external.
Unlike the normal CERN accounts, these do not have storage associated with them. They can, however, collaborate on shared resources or on Spaces/Projects
